Friday Favourites October 19
Happy Friday! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic week. I wanted to say a massive thank you for the support over the past week as i’ve launched this blog, I really appreciate it.
So lets see what I’ve been into the past seven days…
I’ve been escaping to a different world courtesy of ‘The Map of Salt and Stars’ by Jennifer Zeynab Joukhadar. Its a beautiful novel set in Syria with a family becoming refugees and one girl taking comfort in an old tale her father used to tell her. I haven’t read any books set here before but it is beautiful, even the cover art is stunning.
As I mentioned last week I’m a huge podcast fan. I’m either listening to a podcast or Disney songs- my toddlers choice not mine! I am loving Ashley Graham’s ‘Pretty Big Deal’ podcast loads. Ashley’s a model and activist and she ranges from funny anecdotes to insightful conversations on religion and race. She had an great episode with Kim Kardashian West but this weeks interview with journalist Noor Tagouri had me hitting the replay button.
The weather has been surprisingly nice this week in Aberdeen. That said it’s still on the chilly side so I am loving my White Company pom pom hat. Its a really cute blush pink and super soft to- my daughter even stole it and wore it at the weekend!
Candles! I am so into candles right now. Its the time of year to snuggle up and make the house look and feel cosy. My two favourites that are lit daily are Jo Malone ‘Mimosa and Cardamon’ and ‘Dark Amber and Ginger Lily’
